Ok so i thought i would start a thread about maintenance on 3rd gen 4runners . What are the the things that one should keep on top of other than regular maintenance like oil changes and brakes. Things that if prevented will save a lot of money on repairs if they were to fail. What should new owners inspect when buying a used 4runner.
Ill start with radiator, previous owner of of my car learned the hard way, the radiator failed and contaminated the transmission with coolant which caused failure of the transmission $2000 repair that could have been prevented with a $200 radiator. What else should a 4runner owner inspect that could potentially save money on major repairs if those parts were to fail.
