They often have websites where you can search their inventory before you head out. It's also important to check the "yard date", which is the date it entered the yard. If it's only a few days old you've got your best chances of getting what you want. Around here the jawas descend pretty rapidly on new vehicles, so your best shot is at trolling the website daily.

Checked and there is a website with inventory list, nice to know. It's only 15 min away so not too big of a let down. Lol

Have you used car-part.com before? I'd check there. It searches local to you yards after entering your zip code and also has pics too

There is a nice silver OEM Sport hood at a salvage yard in Crestview Florida that someone should buy. It has been there since June 9, 2016. It is on a 2000 that looks to have some other good parts up for grabs.

I have one that is currently painted desert dune. It's got some scratches and I was gonna sand it down and primer it for someone to get it painted to match.

Well crap, I'm DD, but if it's that bad that you need to re-paint it, I guess that's out for me.

The one hood I bought for my 99 was in worse shape but it turned out great after I was done with it. It was off of an 02 thundercloud sport and had 2 hail damage dents plus a couple scratches and the front passenger lip was bent slightly from impact. When I finished it I couldn't tell the difference, its Millennium silver metallic now.

I like to do body work on the side. So when I finish up work on my 99 I think I'll just get this hood sanded and primed for someone and sell it that way so they can get it matched to their vehicle. The guy I got it from had someone paint it he said and they did a bad job. There's a lot of spider webbing in the paint probably because they didn't prep it correctly. It definitely needs to be repainted.
