3rd Gen 4Runner Seat Belt Buckle Click When Driving

Okay so this is a weird one..

When I'm driving around the seat belt buckle makes this little click when hitting bumps. I happens all of the time on the passenger side front seat belt buckle (when there is a passenger buckled in) and once in a while on the drivers side. When it starts to click on the drivers side, I can wiggle the seat belt and it will stop for the remainder of the trip. There is no stopping the passenger side.. The click is coming from inside the buckle itself so it's not like the mount is loose or anything.

I can hear this click over my music and it's really starting to bug me. Has anyone else run into this issue before?

Thats funny. Mine does the same thing, at least on the driver's side. I've always been weary of it because it makes me feel like Im not fully buckled. But, it hasn't been a big issue to me.

Maybe you could try raising and lowering the belt pulley height or changing your seated position to put a different tension on the buckle.

Bump. I'm getting this on the passenger front buckle also and this is the only thread I can find saying people are having this happen. Anyone else having this happen too?
