3rd Gen antenna

So the other day I was driving on the highway and my atenna flew off, yes literally flew off. I havn't gotten a quote from the dealer on how much to replace the antenna yet but I bet it will be expensive.

I was thinking of instead of replacing my antenna getting Satellite radio. I currently have an Alpine 9852 headunit and aftermarket speakers and subs.

What would be the best way of going about this? Would I need a newer/better Alpine headunit??

Is the alpine Satellite ready???

Satellite radio is awesome, you should just go with that.. or get a new antenna off ebay

If you get a Satellite radio ready unit you'll still need a universal sirius tuner made by directed electronics (part# SCC1), and then an Alpine translator (# KCASC100) made by Alpine. Those 2 parts should run you about $120 retail.
