Need to replace the rear passenger door on my 2002 4Runner because my old lady got in an accident. Will a ‘99 door fit on my ‘02? Is there anything unexpected I should know about the replacement?

The metaldoors the same. However, all the wiring controls, etc, are not. You basically have to gut the 1999 door and put the 02 wiring and controls in it.

Rule of them. Always match the components to your chassis. :)

There's a *chance* that '99-'02 rear door wiring will be compatible, but it is a safe assumption that it will have to be swapped. The window regulator, motor, etc. should be compatible, along with the other 'hard' parts.

Another thing. Toyota calls the hatch the rear door. Why I have no clue. I find it interesting. As to be the rear doors are behind the front doors...:/
