3rd Gen from Colorado

Greetings from sunny Colorado. I recently bought a 96 4Runner to use as our camping- expedition type rig ( I had a hard time choosing between it and a 80 series LandCruiser but the 5 speed manual won me.) I'm loving it so far but the IFS is new to me so please bear with me when I ask dumb questions. Hear is a couple pics of when I brought it home and the most recent mods.:usa2: God Bless. Levi (Edit I'll learn to re-size the pictures.)

Nice 3rd gen. I almost ended up with a lightly used one a number of years ago but it didn't happen. The 80 series Land Cruiser looks like a great project vehicle too, though. I don't think you can go wrong with either, especially in the red.

I just moved back to Colorado and I see 3rd gen 4Runners everywhere! I couldn't have recognized them when I was in Boston, but now I can easily spot 3, 4, or 5 generation.

Welcome! That's a nice 4Runner! It looks like my first one I bought that was hunter green. I had an air horn on it and loved it, but I ended up getting rid of it. I just recently bought a brand new 2018 4Runner TRD and it's awesome! Anyhow, welcome to the site!

Hey guys , it's been about 3 years since I posted those pics so I thought show something more current . The 4Runner has been great , not a single problem just maintenance & mods. north fork .jpg

Sweet 3rd gen! I should be getting mine up into the mountains after I figure out my starter issue and fix the clutch pedal brakes!

Looks good. I just picked up a 99 4Runner that’s not running. Hoping to bring it back to life and do a similar build, once I get it running.
