3rd Gen Hidden Storage/Compartments!

List all of your "hidden" or favorite storage compartments you use. I recently got my 4runnner but have yet to find any cool storage spots let us know yours. With pictures would be best but anything is cool.

Hide your weed in a flashlight where the batteries slide in. Then place the flashlight under the seat.

Sure, I figured the only reason anyone would ask this on a Saturday night was because they wanted to hide their bud. I was just trying to be funny. I get tested for work and haven't smoked for 10+ years.

Na, I was just looking around the forum and saw the 4th gen has alot of compartments so I was seeing if I'm missing something on my runner or does it just not have anything hidden to it

there are not a lot of hidden compartment other than the one in your right side cargo area, also under the back seat is pretty good spot to store stuff, under the seat is always good(if you dont have power seat), also the garage door opener is good place for small stuff, some 4runners driver and pass seat comes with side pocket, hope that helped

Yeah, just messin around. Not many storage compartments that I have seen. Rear hatch and console pretty much it....

Speaking of which that just reminded me how big is our reserve? I swear I went like 30miles+ on mine the other day I was so surprised she didn't die on me.

Most people don't know about the upper compartment in the center console. There's also under the rear seat where the jack is. I don't know, never really needed to keep something hidden.

96-98 dont have the upper compartment in the center console. kinda lame but i rather have lockers than central lock for sure

new owner, some spots that might be obvious but I recently found:

- top pull-up compartment on the armrest. I owned this truck for weeks before I even knew there was a compartment there

- ebrake boot. I was cleaning out the interior and there was a ton of debris in there. lots of space to store something you wouldnt want to be found

I know there's been atleast 2 posts about ppl that didn't think their trucks came with a jack.

It's not a compartment but there is a hidden grab handle location above the drivers door in the roof. If you feel through the roof liner you'll feel the location where another grab handle can be mounted just like the one on the front passenger side.

Yeah, like that. It was the very first thing I looked for when buying my 4runner although I haven't added the handle yet. My 80 had 3 different hidden grab handle locations (1 in the front and 2 in the back with the 3rd row seats)...figured the 4runner probably had some too.
