3rd GEN MODS?????

What is the ISR mod? Also, where did you get that "deckplate" piece to fit into the airbox? Is that a standard piece that comes from some other part of the truck or something?

I've been thinking about trying to get a little more mid-range torque out of the 4Runner for towing. Does anyone have recommendations for aftermarket headers or other easy bolt-ons to boost torque?

headers on the 3.4L arent easy! however, with the right tools you could get it done in a few hours in your driveway. if you are looking to stay N/A, i would go with some downey headers, magnaflow hi flow cat and a cat back exhaust of your choice. then i would go to a trueflow air filter or (flame suit on) K&N FIPK, or other cold air intake. this will let your motor breathe alot better and if/when you decide to throw the supercharger on there, it will perform a little better.

Cool, I'll check those out. Thanks for the tips. I was surprised when I saw that some cutting and welding would be required to fit the TRD headers, which isn't a huge deal, but I really thought it'd be more of a bolt on application. A supercharger isn't likely as I've already got 125k on the odo and really don't feel like pulling the motor for freshening (pre or post S/C). The racecar already takes up most of my freetime on the weekends, so I'm not looking to throw a bunch into the truck. That's why I wanted to keep it simple.
