3rd gen rear diff armor installed

So exactly what the title says.

i bought the Trail Gear small differential armor and decided to make it work with my 4runner.

so basically i cut off the e brake hanger bracket, welded the armor on ( its not perfect, as you can see some gaps on the side, but it will work perfectly and its a place for any water that gets behind the plate to drain out)

then i welded the e brake hanger back on the armor in the same place ad it was

Way to make it work! Just thinking... if you welded it with the gear oil in there, you might want to change it if you didn't already. It could have gotten hot and burnt the oil if it wasn't drained when you welded it on there.

Seriously doubt those short beads heated the fluid up enough to cause any negative effects. I wouldn't wory about it, unless it's time for a change anyway. Looks good though.
