Few from a little camping trip we went on. We got stuck in one of the easy, hard bottom holes. I normally crawl through most of these holes because of all the stumps and roots. A little more momentum on the way out and we got through with no problem. Found out it was thanks to a big group of Jeeps that went through. A few with 350's and 40's.

But we made it. Can't say that for two of the Jeeps. They suffered some technical difficulties and got towed out.

Cool pics just joined figured I would throw what pictures I have on my computer. In Bolivia right now so once I get home I will try to put up some more. I like that front valance dude. Any one every removed it completely? I know the frame horns would stick out a bit but I like the clean JDM look sometimes. Saw one guy who had the front valance removed on his 98 and built a small prerunner style light/bar bumper off his horns. Anyone shed any thoughts on this or know who this was running it? anyways heres mine...the pics on the ****ty cornfed jack and wood block are from right after my larger jack blew a seal but I was halfway through my brake job and had to find something fast as it was starting to lower haha

Here is my rig so far. I know its not much but I'm working on it. On order is a 3" OME Suspension lift, Diff Drop, Steering rack bushing kit, Shock tower bushing/washer kit, and 2" body lift kit.

In my possession is a 1.9L VW TDI engine. I will be ordering an ACME adapter kit shortly and am in the process for looking for a spare 5Spd Transmission from a 3.4L So I can do all the work and prep the swap without loosing the ability to use my car in the process.

You've got the right idea in mind, changing over to a diesel. Do you have the AHU motor? That's what I would love to do to my '97. Please take photos and post some up for all to see.

I believe its the AAZ engine. No ECU required :bluejump:

Edit. I plan to do a writeup once I get around to doing the swap.

It'll be a while. Kinda going through a career change right now so I may not get around to it for another year or so.

Just picked her up today!!

2002 4runner sport edition! It came with a new windshield, timing belt, water pump, tires including the spare, brakes, replaced all fluids, cleaned and detailed the interior, and a full tank of gas.

Don't forget the power steering fluid too. It's old as hell, unless it was changed. Make sure the trans fluid is good to go too. But it's a good find. Good job on the choice. Welcome to the forum too. Read a lot. You'll find a lot of interesting things. I still find things I'd never thought of too.

They change all the fluids at the time the did the Timing belt and water pump.

Don't worry those running boards will be on Craigslist very soon!!!
