I bought these 35's with 15.5 wheels guess what? The fricken brake caliper rubs. I love the wheels. Tire's wont work I dont have enough clearance. so I thought I would put 33's on those wheels. How do I get them to work?

I had to put my 15.5 wheels on my 4runner e day I got it to drive it home. I took a grinding wheel to the brake caliper to make them not rub.

I've been lurking for a while so I though I would finally say hello! Hello!:hello:

Just picked my 2000 Highlander a couple weeks ago. An AOR bumper and winch are the first items on my to-do list. Already locked front and rear and full Savage armor underneath. Absolutely love it so far..

Talk about an awesome turn-key rig! Someone was building themselves a very nice, clean, functional 4runner. You holding off on doing a build thread til you do some building on it of your own?

Thank you, once I can claim credit for something other than just Plasti-Dipping the grill and hood scoop maybe I'll do a build thread LOL. I plan on doing the AOR bumper/winch first then some LED lighting after that.

The guy I met who owned this rig just did everything to it last year including: timing belt, LB joints, tranny cooler, starter, pumps, hoses, ARB lockers, armor, FJ wheels, new BFG MTs, etc. and provided receipts for everything. I believe this rig was a victim of a sudden divorce or something, because he just put a ton $$$ into it and it drives beautifully. It just made too much financial sense to pick one up that was already trail ready than do everything myself.

This is going to be my dedicated vehicle for exploring the National Forest around our place so it will spend 95% of its time in the dirt - really looking forward to some great times with this ride!
