Bought this 99 Sr5 4runner from a member here at t4r and here she is doing some "poser flexing"

Is that a rear surf retrofit on a US spec 4runner? Only reason I ask is because:

1st the front fenders don't have the side markers

2nd it's RHD

It is a LHD truck (should be able to see the steering wheel in the 2nd pic), Canadian spec 99 4Runner with the rear Hilux Surf swingout hatch grafted on. It was a well known truck on the local Calgary Toyota forums (not T4R). I have seen it up close once and it really is beautiful.

Yep the trunk

yeah its a US spec 99 sr5 4runner the Hilux trunk was just retrofitted so it can hold the spare on the back and badges were kept on

3rd Gen. T4R Picture Gallery

After 8 months of the afterlife she lives again! After the life she's lived and how she's pieced together, everyone has appropriately named her Frankenrunner. She's a '97 SR5 5-speed with an '02 5vzfe and Limited interior. She's a desert dune runner with a truck bed lined front end to match her name. She has a sport hood as well. I have 4th gen rims to throw on as soon as I buy new tires. I hope to start a build real soon as I start doing more. This site has helped me revive her and I have learned so much. I hope I can contribute some fraction of what I've taken back to everyone. Thanks!
