No noises.... but hard to say really.... the road to Oba is filled with washboards and potholes. Don't think the joint itself failed.... I think the nuts that hold it on, let go. Still have to get a look at it. I left it on the road, and called a Towtruck to bring it back to town. Over $500.00 tow bill, and sitting in a garage parking lot til Saturday Morning. I got a ride back into town, and got into my Taco to go home to see our family back home.

ah man, no good at all! i didn't use the new bolts on one of my new LBJ's.... i may have to change that.....

hope she turns out okay!

It seems to be a common theme that the bolts shear, causing the balljoint to come apart. Whenever bolts are shearing under normal conditions, there's a good chance that over tightening has something to do with it.

Have you flexed out the rear yet? I'm running LX450 wheels, spidertrax, 285's and LC 7.5 wraps and my tires catch the inner lip of the fender when compressing. Definitely going to need to cut it off or bend it up and out of the way.

I was extremely uncertain at first once I had them at home in the box, but mounted up and combined with the bumper I think all the lines really work well.

With a meticulous mechanic running the shop and maintaining the 4Runner whenever time permits, the wells were modified sometime ago. Although a process the wells were snipped, shaped, hammer on and eventually relined for a clean tubbed well with no rubbing or contact issues.
