Could you take a picture of the back and show how you mounted the flag? I made one but it doesn't get enough wind behind my 4Runner

This is just one of these(http://www.amazon.com/Camco-51611-Hitch-Flagpole-Holder/dp/B004IVGA0G), with an 8 foot piece of 2 inch PVC and PVC cap painted graphite, and two eye bolts in the PVC. I attatched the flag using carabiners. I ran bungee cords from the eye bolts to the roof rack to stabilize it better and flew it nearly 400 miles to the beach, and then back. No issues with anything.

Instead of buying a $40 metal one you can make one out of all PVC for less that $15. I just did it haha

Hay, I'm thinking of doing the same thing only with the superflex springs. How is the ride? Do you like the Kings with that set up?

Dood! That looks awesome! I like how it looks simple. Front and rear bumpers matching tube style. Lights. Simple yet sexy wheels that match the style.

Nothing too crazy, but I love when something looks (and IS) functional. Cheers!

just picked up a 99"runner sr5 black. i've been lurking and finally wanted to say, sup!

im a city driver and will use the beast mainly for the harsh winters. will anyone help me pick out new tires? looking for something aggressive looking but practical. no plans to lift anytime soon. trying to see how big i can go without any issues w/ suspension/rubbing, etc. Wanting a set great for snow but not crazy noisy...

please help.

Im getting General Grabber AT2 before the winter. They have really good snow/ice reviews and look good. Supposed to be fairly quite on the road.

This low riding forester shows them off pretty good. It gets stuck once but its not the tires fault.

I ran Grabber AT2s on my Baja turbo for a few years and I absolutely hated them in the ice and snow. Absolutely no traction to speak of on anything even resembling ice or packed snow. It's not driver error either, since I used to daily an RX7 year round for nearly a decade, and have ridden my sport bike and driven my stroked out Camaro on R compounds through snow storms.

Hah, for as long as I have lived here(a couple decades now), I could count on one hand how many times I've partaken in those goodies. Much rather have a beer. Can't throw a rock without hitting another 4Runner around here though.

I ran the 215/65/16 on mine. I didn't have them studded since rarely does ice stick around here for more than a few days and I didn't want to tear up the road. They just had zero grip on ice, even at parking lot speeds. I had them on when I went up and spent a day ice racing on a frozen lake up here, and they were basically useless, especially compared to the people running regular snow tires that just blew past me. The thing that really made me dislike them was having to replace them after less than two years, and that was back when I had a different car to DD and rode my motorcycle as often as possible. My current Duratracs barely show any wear despite being on my DD for over a year now.
