San Bernadino Mtns this past weekend, the rain made the trail awesome

got a little muddy this past weekend.

Went wheeling with my buddy at night. Which is not ideal. But it happened. Came across a mud hole that looked very deep so being the ballsy one and willing to test the waters I went to test the deepness. Got a few feet into the mud hole and noticed the mud was a lot softer than I had suspected (yes i did a stick test). Anyways I quickly realized I didn't want to get stuck at night. So I went to back out. Too late. Rear wheels were up against the worst thing possible, a huge root. Tried to go forward and started dragging frame. I let my friend in his tacoma hook up and try to tug me out backwards because there wasnt a way around the mud hole. Denied by the root at my rear wheels and his lack of traction. So I try to go forward as much as i can so he can try to bump me over the root. But to my surprise I go forward more than expected. I yell at my friend to unhook and back up again and then gun it forwards. Mud slinging everywhere. I was shocked. After only a couple more rocking forward and backwards I was out. And i had passed through the entire mud hole. I didnt get any great pics but the moral of the story is, never doubt the 4runner
