My '97 SR5 in the beautiful—and rare—Lavender Steel Metallic. A few mods so far, most notably 3" Toytec lift, Addicted Offroad rear bumper, and Pro Comp 7069 wheels.

Is that original paint? I can't get over how clean some of these are. I just got mine and even after getting it buffed etc these look cleaner! Here's my '01 Limited for 104k I just got.
You can have your paint look just as good...possibly even better. White is a single stage, so with some effort, it can be brought back to like new.

I do mine every two years...wax twice a year.

They did a good job buffing it and the klasse sealant helped. The weather that day wasnt helping that photo. I'll definitely be giving it another detailing in the spring. No rust at all though and the under carriage looks great. This is just going to be a reliable daily driver for a few years hopefully. Then maybe I can start entering the off-road world. All my modding money I want to spend on my focus RS for now anyways.

Picked up my first yota tonight! After seeing all these posts with the lifts and the tires im excited. I have a few goals with this truck. First, I would like to take the side boards off. Does anyone buy those? Then, the lift & tired. Next would have to be an off-road bumper. I am an avid hunter and I say I fish but I don't catch. Love the outdoors and from NorCal. Hoping to meet some people that can help guide me on this journey to what my goals are

Picked up my first 4Runner, named her Tilly! Tillys not so bad- zero rust, 186K on original tranny and motor. Idles great, no leaks but got her timing belt and water pump done for a peace of mind. While she was under the lift I saw a leaking rear axle seal. So that's on the to-do! Can't wait to make a build thread once I get done with some maintenance items

I got my dream 4runner about a couple of weeks ago. I had been going back and forth between getting a 3rd gen or 4th gen. I landed on the 3rd gen because I think that the styling on these trucks is timeless. The previous owner pretty much did all of the mods that I probably would have done. I found it in Raleigh NC and flew to get it and drove it back to Atlanta. Obligatory picture from the ride home the day I got it and then a more festive one.

the end of an autumn upgrade madness
Well, my 3rd Gen is just about done (for now). In May I found this really well kept '98 ... manual trans, supercharged with 155k miles, and babied really well. It ended up at an auction after being traded in by its third (very short-term) owner, so it needed a few things. I got all those internal fixes done, and started in on the armor and upgrades early September, with an aim to make it a mini outback land cruiser.
The second photo is what it looks like this week, ready for the big winter trip. Meantime, just watching my bank account and the mpg get smaller and smaller ...
THE NEW ADDITIONS:
ARB bull bar
Warn 8000 winch
Baja Rack standard basket
CBI rock sliders
CBI swingarm rear bumper with led and camp table
OME 883 front, 961 long travel rear

Here is my 98 4Runner V6 SR5. I just put the bodylift on and the 1.5 spacer. Im from Quebec/Canada so its hard to keep the truck clean without to much rust. Browsing this site for the past few years gave me a lots of idea. (sorry for my poor english I am french canadian).
