Here is my 98 4Runner V6 SR5. I just put the bodylift on and the 1.5 spacer. Im from Quebec/Canada so its hard to keep the truck clean without to much rust. Browsing this site for the past few years gave me a lots of idea. (sorry for my poor english I am french canadian).

Nice! I gotta say that there is something pretty cool about the 2nd gens as far as the body goes that is pretty cool. I know they get the bad reputation due to the underwhelming 3.0 V6, but this was a time for Toyota where everything felt pretty solid. I had a 1994 Extended Cab 4x4 that I should not have sold. The solid feeling of, let's say, the door feels different than both 1st and 3rd gens. The other visual difference that I notice on second gens is the top of the lowered rear wheelift well body oboe the tire. To me, it seems that even if you don't have rear end sag, the rear looks lower than the front, even if they are even. I still dig em, even more the built ones.

Finally got around to getting into these two mods. The retrofit is my first go at this sort of thing, so I opted the budget route ($100 in parts from Amazon) in case I butchered the whole thing. I posted most of it up in my albums. Splurged on KF9 Thundercloud Metallic stock paint to color match the shrouds and grille.

Thanks boss! Not too shabby for my very first go at this. As for the paint, I did quite a bit of hunting and narrowed it down to a seller on eBay. $75 for a quart. The first quart I ordered broke due to FedEx's mishandling. The seller shipped out another quart immediately. I've used maybe half the quart after all is said and done, but have intentions of fixing several other blemishes on a 14 yo truck. :cheers:

Thanks! Yeah, I'm a big proponent of "you get what you pay for." However, for the bang for your buck has such a decent swing. Clearly, I've only had these things on the truck for 48 hours, so I cannot attest to their durability on the road. I'll definitely get on the other thread for sure. Just want to give these a chance to prove themselves on the road / weather.

Front lift is OME 881 coils on Tundra Bilstein 5100
Rear lift is OME 890 coils on OME shocks
Extended brake lines and diff drop
Pro Comp 16x7 D hole steelies on Kumho road venture a/t 285/75/16

The Pro Comps are the second set of wheels I tried. The first rubbed on the caliper. Also these tires mounted on stock wheels rubbed on upper control arms. The fitment is extremely tight. Need to trim front fairing because it rubs.

Quick question for you guys, anyone put spacers ontop of their suspension lift? I'm looking for another inch in the front to level it and am trying to stay away from body lifts

Not really the right thread but...

I wouldnt recommend lifting the front any higher than 3". The suspension geometry becomes too far from factory and it just gives you more issues than its worth IMO. 285's take a decent amount of hammering and trimming up front if you want them to clear properly. Its just part of it
