Bed Platform/ cargo box
Here's my bed platform. This is my first time posting. not really sure how it works, but i got a lot of inspiration from here and thought i would share. Hopefully you can see some of these photos. I built a sleeping platform that can fold up into the trunk with two drawers

3rd Gen Noob. Steal of the Century
Got this 97 3rd Gen 4WD Lmited with 237,000 miles for $500 bucks. Owner/friends Neighbor was worried engine is about to go out. He tried going to carmax and see what he would get. He said carmax offered him $250. So I told him I’d give him double. I was half heartedly joking but he said okay. So.... now Im joining the club lol
Surprisingly the car is well taken care of. Oil/trans oil look great. Did have the check engine light on for a hard knock sensor. Seems to come on and off repeatedly, so I smogged it while it was off to register.
The engine noise he was worried about sounds like a slight valve rattle but not a true knock in the engine. Seems to only be on top of the engine. Im really not worried about it. I’ll probably drive it until it goes kaput. Then I’ll worry about rebuilding or JDM swap.
I was so excited for this steal I bought 2015 stock Tacoma rims off offer up. Got them from some crack head for $100 lol. Then I got KO2’s (LT 265/75/R16) in the largest size I could fit with a stock height.
I wasn’t really planning to do much until I rebuilt the engine or ensure I could get another 300k miles out of this 3rd gen but I just couldn’t help it
My next project is to lift it. I would like a modest lift of either an inch or an inch and a half. I really need to keep this as a highway queen since I drive 120 miles round trip to work 2xs a week. I just want a really smooth ride but would like to go off-roading when I go on trips. What do you guys I suggest PM me some suggestions?

Wow that is a steal! I got my 96 limited for $1,200 but I ended up putting a junkyard motor in it and “rebuilding” it before I swapped engines, but mine also came with a freshly rebuilt transmission. Looks clean man!
