3rd Gen T4R Picture Gallery

Just started a 3rd gen build (99 SR5 / V6 / 4WD with 3 inch suspension lift) and it came with the wheels in the pics.

Anyone recognize these? Looking to find specs on them. They are currently wrapped in 265/70r16's but I am looking to swap those out for 285/75r16's asap.

I'm just trying to get a baseline of info on backspacing / offset on these wheels. All I know now (without taking the tires off the wheels) is that they are 16's.

Any help much appreciated. thx

Huh, looks like the same as I have on my new T4R. Don't know much about them though. According to the guy I bought it from, he said I could go up to 285.

I love mine as well. They’re pretty underrated so they were relatively cheap compared to other MT. They’re pretty quiet all things considered however they are getting louder as they wear. Speaking of wear, I’m about 5k into them and looking great so far. I do rotations every 3k so that helps. They’re excellent off road as well.

The last set of new MT's I had were Cooper STT's on my 05' Tacoma, & those tires were way louder as they wore than the DC's have been thus far. I'm probably about 7-8K into mine, tread wear is very even, noise is marginal compared to the craptastic MT's that were on mine when I inherited it. I'm almost a little disappointed in myself that I didn't get the same tire on my 06' Sport.

Thanks....its not so much for the bugs, lots of rock strikes on the roads out here its helped deflect a few since I installed it.

Sunday funday on White River in Arkansas

Just getting started on my 2002 4runner SR5 with factory e-locker. This was rolled on it's side in an accident. So far I've replaced the passenger front door, fender, and rear quarter panel glass. I've installed a toytec 2" body lift, and a grill mod. I have Toytec Boss coilovers, Toytec Superflex rear springs with extended travel Boss shocks, diff drop, new bump stops, panhard bracket, and a winch bumper from Logan's Metal 4x4 bought and on its way. This is not my daily driver. Just a toy.

This is the second winter I park my 3rd Gen in order to preserve it. I've had her for 14yrs... and plan to keep it forever!



A few more weeks... and I'll be behind the wheel of my old girl again!!

I'm curious what the market value is for this. I have a 1999 red manual 4Runner for sale, impeccible condition with 262k and full maintenance records, but I can't figure out what the market value is. Thoughts?
