I am considering getting a battery powered one to carry along, these pinstripes are going to wear through the fenders

This is awesome man.
As my son grows older, this type of thing is something I'm starting to think about.
Was it just a day trip or all out camping overnight? How does he do?

We live in northwest MO, so we drove out to Colorado on a Wednesday, and camped north of Rocky Mountain National Park for 4 nights. He does great. We were at a primitive campground with just an outhouse, but we’re well prepared so never wanted for anything.

Stopover in Leavenworth en route from Colorado to British Colombia for a long rock climbing trip.
New tires (BFG K02 265/75/r16) and roofbox have been a huge upgrade for extended (month-plus) travel, it's nice to get the crash pad and sleeping gear out of the cargo area. 20-year old suspension is definitely NOT happy with ~200 pounds of ropes, climbing gear, stove, etc in the back. I think the first thing I'll be doing when I get back to Colorado is putting in an 880/906 lift which should handle much better with a full loadout.

Any way you might have been on US-2 westbound on June 30??? I was in the UP exploring Hiawatha National Forest that weekend and I saw a white 3rd gen that looked much like this going the opposite direction and got a wave back! Attached pic is what you would have seen. If I recall correctly there was a Tacoma trailing behind that looked outfitted as well.

Yo!!! That was definitely me- I was on the way back home on Sunday and took US-2 basically the whole way across the UP. I remember seeing your rig and waving :cheers: I could tell that I was about to encounter a lifted 3rd gen from the body style alone, before I even got close enough to see what color your rig was! haha
No relation to any tacoma that might have been stalking me though. Now you got me curious...
