Being that I was born and raised in HI, Surfing and Skateboarding was the 2 things that came hand in hand. Being doing both at the age of 3. Come from a surfing family that competed professionally from my unkos to my cousins as myself. When I moved to WA in 08 we transitioned to the mountain and snowboarding was out go to. We also Surfed at Westport threw out the year in wetsuit (sucks wearing a wetsuit). Standing on the board was easy, the turning part was hard. Surfing/Skateboarding we use our rear leg to turn and Snowboarding is the opposite. It only took a day of wipeouts to get used to the turning. My now 12 year old that was born here in WA, never stepped on a board in his life, but went down the bunny slope hill at 3. He did very good on his fist day and now he comes on the black diamonds with us every time.

One picture from the day I got it in 2018 then a couple after the first round of mods and trips. Kept it pretty simple, I just wanted a weekend camp/adventure rig. I pulled all the trim/floor boards did a ton of maintenance and really just did 99’ front springs/OME 906 rears, bilsteins all around and went up to a 265/75-16 KO2.

New to the runner scene

Hafa Adai(Hello in my native tongue) T4R:

Im normally tooling around with 120 and 150 series, this is my first runner.

Picked up this Runner a couple months ago:
1 owner
198k
0 rust (none anywhere)
interior and paint are 10/10
rear locker
service records are all well documented
new brakes and rotors/ shoes and drums
new master cylinder
new timing belt and WP
new tires
no accidents

had a busy 4 days. had some downtime from this 13 day shift and managed to replace the stock Toyota guts with some goodies. front pic is after battling 1 side because it was my first time replacing tie rods, UCA's, sway bar links and putting struts and coils together. ordering them assembled next go round. any who, pretty pleased with the outcome and the ride is tip top. got an alignment this morning and that shop was clueless. will have to get another one next week.

Just picked this beauty up on Monday. Drove it down through the crazy snow storm and through the redwoods on the way home.

2001, Limited, 4x4, 95,700 miles

Think it has a rough country lift in the back but not sure about the front. Excited to get some things done to it!!

Come make fun of my 2WD! Just bought a few months ago with 205k on the clock. I live in Florida where our highest point is an overpass and we never see snow, so I didn't really have a need for 4wd as great as it is. Found this one for $3500. Paint is gone in certain spots but it runs great. How'd I do?

Very nice! Where did you get those seat covers? Or did they come with the truck?

Just acquired this 1999 3rd Gen a couple of months ago. 150K miles and it is pretty clean, inside and out. Was going to put some All Terrain T/As on it and found the 16" tires were more than $200 more than the 17" tires! Found a set of 17" 2017 4Runner wheels on Craigslist for $150 and then put the appropriate tires on them for a net savings of about $75. I went with 265-70, C load rating. They ride better than my old tires and are quieter. I think they look pretty boss on the 99 Runner. The wheels had the center cap plastidipped black and I think it looks great. It was a two owner vehicle and the guy never mentioned to me that it was lifted, but it appears that it is lifted about 1.5" or so. It is definitely taller than my 2001 Tacoma TRD.

Looks very similar to mine! Nice!

I feel ya on street kept - my T4R sleeps on the City streets, too. It's rough out there...best of luck!!
