Yeah, they go quickly. This one may be a bit overpriced, but given how limited the availability has become I'd say it's fair if its clean.
 
$11,977? Seems over priced to me. Last December i purchased my (well it was mine until my wife started driving it) 2002 with 87k miles for $5800. It did need a axle seal & rear shoes to pass inspection but that's a big difference in price.

I'd argue that's a steal. In MN and the Midwest from what I've seen, $9-$12 is about right -- the higher side being at a dealer. The limited is a dealer truck.

IMO, that was just a really good deal.
 
$12k may be high, but prices are set by market demand. Here these trucks are tougher to come by in good shape. Salty roads, and severe weather beats the heck out of them.

It's a dealer...there will be haggling.if you made off at a bit over $10k I think it would be a win.

I understand that but the highest I would pay is 8k

We get that it isn't what you would pay, we're just stating that the asking price is realistic. Also, compare the average condition of a 2001 4Runner back in 2007 to the average condition of a 2001 4Runner now. It was only six years old. The earliest 5th gens are nearly six years old right now to give perspective. It's not as easy to find a 3rd gen that is squeaky clean now as it was then. Add to the fact that within the past decade hundreds if not thousands of 3rd Gens(at least in my area) were exported to a fair bit of third world countries and the number dwindles even more. There is a fair bit of demand and a pretty solid following for the 3rd gen so that price is not so far-fetched.

I just realized you are Kyle Reese, so you may have a better understanding of the future of the 3rd Gen market than I do. Tell me now, how will it look in 2029?
