3rd Row Delete Pics & Ideas

I’ve almost committed to removing my third row as it’s really not that useful for me and the ability to capitalize on the extra space is much more appealing. The only downside is the fact that the 2nd row won’t fold flat if I remove the 3rd.

I am thinking of a fixed flat platform base (MDF costed in bed liner) with a modular drawer system that can be added when needed and removed when not (same materials).

Please post your experiences and photos along with wisdom and guidance if you have any!

Deleted 3rd row makes more space I made this bottom platform got the idea from goose gear but they sell there’s for $500 I paid maybe like $70 and it selves the same purpose

Is the base perfectly square? Or rectangular I guess?

Look up GEAR GOOSE BASE PLATE for 3rd row seat delete I made it the sale way with side looks a little funny but if going to put drawer you won’t even notice

Still a work in progress. Goal was to remove the seats and use the space without cutting the stock pieces at the rear. Adding carpet this week and mounting the fridge slide. Fridge is a smallish SetPower AJ40 and will actually lift easily while attached to the moving platform. Foam cutouts for the rifle are in process as well, but of course, you can place whatever you want in that space.

in the pics that trailracing posted above, what are those two plastic door/port things called on the left side of his platform? i think i might try a simplified version of this but i'm having a hard time figuring out what to search for. keeping the surrounding factory trim looks great too.

oh I like that shelf / storage option. that's very nice. I went with aspen when I did mine as well. 3/4" definitely much better. was a bit concerned aspen wasn't as hard as birch or oak/ maple etc. but overall it has held up well. I have a waterproof carpet laid out on top of it, a moving blanket and a rubber floor liner that doesn't quite cover it fully, hence the moving blanket. and so far all good after a couple years

I spent a bunch of time trying to find a low profile drawer system to replace the 3rd row and keep the floor flat. No luck so far so seems I might need to build my own. Not sure if the drawer will be that useful since pretty small.
