3rd Row Mod

Always been curious about this, but never known how to proceed. I think It'd be real cool to add a third row in the cargo area. I don't imagine it would be easy, but I want to give it a shot.. Maybe even just two bucket seats in the rear?
Wondering if anyone has a writeup or even just an attempt to achieve this?

I had a similar idea of putting buckets in place of the rear bench, you'd have to do use lower profile seats to even fit them in the back row even more so in the cargo space I'd imagine. On top of that you'd be unable to see out the back hardly and you'd better hope to be hauling kids or really short friends back there because there will be 0 head room. All my buddies (we're all 6'2" +) hate when I DD because they hit their heads with the normal seating.

In all honesty this gen t4r is like a corolla space wise on an SUV frame with some cargo area

There is a company (out of some where in norcal) that makes a bolt in 3rd row for 2nd gen 4runners. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.
