4.7 Gets NEW factory exhaust manifolds

I pulled the trigger and had both leaking exhaust manifolds replaced...$3K. She sounds so sweet and her mileage has gone up. No fumes in the cab either. Almost 360K on the odo and I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of the absolute BEST vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing on the market new or used measured up to my 4runner when I shopped. Mechanically she is perfect and cosmetically it's not bad for it's age. Looked at a newer Tundra LTD, with 4.7, and low miles but what changed my mind was a u turn my gf and i had to make on a snow and mud covered back road with a cliff on one side and drainage ditch on the other...4Runner no problem..I was sold. My gf says the runner feels more solid than her 2015 well optioned Cadillac SRX4. And it hauls my Prowler Lynx 15F rv and my kayak.

When I need to replace mine I will go with DT headers.

The 2UZ VVTi engine is one of the best!

When I need to replace mine I will go with DT headers.

I wanted stock sound. Headers can be noisey and I started out doing one and was told both were bad after the shop did one side. Even wth the option prior I was happy with OE manifolds. I have been researching for a year or so and decided go stock.
