Thank you for all this information Blink. I'm not sure on how I'll figure out how to do this, since you're in AZ, but by all means, keep my info. I have approximately 55,000 miles on my 03, but it didn't occur to me to do other preventative changes to the AWD and the tranmission. I'm guessing you'd advise your other customers of this, but that info is still great to know!! Thanks again!

Here is a much needed update.

Im currently in NC, and have just finished up installing and tuning the map-ecu 2 on the prototype Tundra.

The new headunit creates boost much sooner than the previous kit and actually peaks out at 7.5 psi

As you guys know, we decided to mount the supercharger on the passenger side to cut down on piping, make the install much easier, and meet space requirements of the new headunit. In making this change, we ran into a fitment issure and will have to redesign the bracket for a 4Runner to fit correctly. We should have the problem resolved with the next week or so.

Thank you Blink indeed for this update. I was thinking on this in Sacramento the other day when I had a punk in a Camry alongside me who wanted to race. As I left him in the dusk, I was thinking how fun it really would of been with a SC...

I did want to ask, since I want to off road also with Ruffian, would it make no sense then to install a SC on a T4R?

Also, I have a couple of friends who are giving me chit about putting a SC on a SUV, claiming then "Well what little of gas milage you do get, there goes the rest out the tale pipe."
Do you really see a dramatic drop in milage with a SC?
Anyway, as you see, keep me in mind for a very interested customer in N. CA. !! Thanks!:biggrin2:

The kit is using a centrifugal type supercharger which creates most of its power mid to top range. Since offroading is done in the lower range, you wouldnt see much of a benefit.

The nice thing about being s/ced is when you decide to add that lift and/or larger tires to offroad, you can makeup the power lost without having to re-gear.

This question really depends on how you drive. If you are easy on the throttle, you can maintain the same MPG you have now.

Did you mean to put a reply for my quoted off roading question? You quoted it, but no reply direct on it. I'm assuming it's fine since SC's are stock on other 4x4's.

Thanks, that perfectly answered my question. It is what I figured, and yes that solves the problem later. I'm trying to figure out where to get that suspension lift first of all. First I need to get rid of these fancy rims...
