4 runner too girly

I don't want to be labeled as a soccer mom when Im in my Runner…..besides my daughter is in karate and she will kick your azz if you talk about her momma's truck :boom:

Yeah they are pretty soccer mom-ish but they are extremely capable offroad. Get one! we need more t4r members in houston

5th gens are definitely the girliest of the 4Runners. Don't get one. They're only good as grocery getters.

I currently drive a 1978 Scout. I'm looking for a modern vehicle( the Scout's been a daily driver for 20 years). My options are 4 runner, fj, or tacoma. The 4 runner seems the most logical but I have a hard time not seeing it as a "Mom's car". If I get one, I'll probably lift it some or else rhino line the exterior. What say you?

Does it matter? I like that my 4Runner works well, and almost always gets me where i need to go, and in any conditions, without having to deal with stupid BS problems all the time.

You see so many ladies in them cause there smart husband or dad (girls in 3rd gen) said you need this dependable badass 4runner or the lady is just as smart as us and picked one. I mean come in we aren't talking about a RAV4 or a beetle here haha. My wife could careless and she's on her third 4runner now when I find one its time to jump on I plant the seed she oh that's pretty boom she's got a 11 TE. I've owned tons of tacos one FJ and two 4runners that I drove daily pick out one you love can't go wrong good luck on search.

I changed my mind!

More and more I thought on it you may be right the 4Runner is to girlie
Best bet would be a RAV4:puke: Because the RAV4 or the highlander would be all over this!

Girly ?
If you have headlight eyelashes & stick figure family stickers on the windows, you better be wearing a dress.

Right. If not already...wait until you are married and have kids. This past weekend I was driving a CRV with a Betty Boop steering wheel cover and a froggy face window shade (for the kid)...wife's car...

You do what you gotta do...

I know where the OP is coming from :)

After owning two Toyota trucks, I decided I really needed more seats and it turns out I could still sleep in the back with the seats folded down and vertical cargo space was better than my truck with it's cap. So I got a 4runner. And SO glad I did!!!

But... heh it is pretty generic SUV looking stock compared to my trucks. So first things were new tires/wheels and a rack. 1000% better right off the bat! :D

The uh.. stuffed warthog (A dog toy actually) on the dash probably takes it back towards Girly a notch but screw it :D

does this look girly to u?...that silver runner is apocalypse ready..the gray one looks like something batman will be seen in when his batsmobile is stuck in mud :fencing:

A 4Runner forum might not be the best place to ask if this particular vehicle is "girly".

Other than the Wrangler, Xterra, and Land Rover, there's not too many body-on-frame true SUV's around anymore.

Honestly I suppose I can see where your coming from; I had 3 modded diesels before my new 4Runner and I was adamant about getting a real SUV. I just couldn't bring myself buying one of the many, many crossovers style SUV's out there now.

Regardless, you should buy what you like, there's always going to be people out there that dislike a vehicle for whatever reason. As long as your happy with your decision is what's most important.
