4 Way switch that adjusts power door mirrors.

Hello again,

I have an '04 SR5 V-8. I'd like to know if anyone has had problems with the switch on the drivers door that adjusts the mirrors on the doors. For example; when I press the switch down to back into a parking space sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This happens with both mirrors. I don't know if the switch is on the way out or if it's a loose wire. Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated.

I've not heard of anyone on this board having that problem, but that does not mean that it has not happened. It is certainly NOT common. Regardless, it does sound like your switch's contacts are probably shot. You can find a replacement on eBay for about $40.00:

I've not heard of anyone on this board having that problem, but that does not mean that it has not happened. It is certainly NOT common. Regardless, it does sound like your switch's contacts are probably shot. You can find a replacement on eBay for about $40.00:

The door panel is one singular piece so yes, it'll have to come off.

I just had this problem last weekend after a wash-and-detail at a local car wash. I got the truck back and the mirrors had shifted from the position I had them in earlier. At first, both mirrors kinda "halted assed" their response to my inputs. After what I would assume to be some kind of drying out interval, both mirrors responded normally and adjusted in all axis with little issues. In this particular experience, if its any help, sometimes the response in one direction (left/right) would then allow a response in another direction (up / down). Good luck!
