I learned pretty quickly not to mess with spring snow melt. It doesn't look like much, but it has thawed/refrozen into an almost magical consistency that will get any vehicle just far enough to get itself completely, unrecoverably stuck, or slide off the mountain trying to get through or back out of being stuck.

Yeah, that's how the snow gets around here in the spring as well. Me and a friend of mine went for a ride a while back when his FJ we were in broke traction and slid down this long road we were on. Amazing that we never turned or flopped. I think that's the same pass on the video that some guy rolled his FJ on earlier in the year.
