47,000 miles only, what's is it worth?

Hi,

My retired dad wants to get rid of his 1997 Toyota 4Runner (SR5). He is the original and only owner (and driver of the truck). It has 47,800 miles...yup. In kilometers it's 77,000kms.

The truck is in impeccable condition, still looks new, no problems whatsoever and no rust, no leaks,no accident. This machine was/is the best truck he has ever owned, but because of his old age he is looking for something else.

The truck has A/C, automatic, and everything is original. The only thing not working well is the digital clock in the dash (it works only some of the time).

I need help pricing this because of the low mileage and condition. Google isn't helping.

What price range should I ask for?

Hi there. Sounds like a nice car. A couple FAQ you should clear up may include:
-4WD, or 2WD?
-4cyl or 6cyl?
-How long has it been sitting for?
-Service records?

Car sounds real nice! Any pictures?
I would ask for whatever you feel comfortable. For a 2WD, I would ask for $7000 and if it's a 4Wd, maybe $7500? The low miles will be a great selling advantage. GLWS!

Honestly? If it's anywhere near as nice as you've mentioned, I would keep it in the family. Its paid off and reliable as hell. I know your looking for a price, but that's just my opinion.

I think, (THINK) you can ask about 10k for it if it is 4wd and v6. ( according the the buyers guide ) You can get about 7k for a 150k mileage sr5.

Yes I would LOVE to keep this and actually still thinking about it. I'm the only son and I already have 3 cars, and no more room. Plus, I'm sure the gas would kill me.

No really though, if you don't need/want it then just keep it and run it once in a while.. No reason to lose money (sell it) if you aren't in desperate need of cash..
