Ok so we’ll try posting this again since 1.0 wet the bed.

Gas was $1.99/gal in Florida in December and now in this place they call New Jersey I’m paying $2.79/gal.

I filled up last week and it was $49. Topped off yesterday half a tank $21. Ouch

I guess this is an excuse get my motorcycle out since it gets around 35 mpg for the times I dont need to carry anything.

This was predictable. Elections have consequences for sure. The oil & gas industry is being decimated...
 
You guys in the US make me laugh when you complain about the price of gas.

Up here in Kanuckistan, filling up from empty is $90

Even accounting for exchange rate it's ridiculous. I wish my fellow countrymen weren't such commies and would vote in a government that had some sense of fiscal responsibility.
 
California here. Regular is $4/gal. Even in the good times it was over $3/ gal. This state sucks so badly. Don’t get me started.

too bad most dumbocrats are to dumb enough to realize that they have to pay for all their wonderful communist handouts in the form of taxing everyday necessities, and they wonder why their quality of life stays the same or still suck.

We in the US don't want to wait until fuel prices get to horrible levels before we gripe about it. The bigger government gets, the more things like fuel get taxed.

In Ohio, we pay 38.5 cents per gallon of gasoline. From what I can tell (very brief research I did), Canadians pay somewhere around 50 cents per LITER (approximately $2 per gallon). So it seems that roughly half of that $90 fill-up is taxes. Is this correct, or am I missing something? Personally, if I can do anything to help prevent that from happening here, I will. While nothing is easy when it comes to taxes, I think it's much easier to prevent them than it is to reverse them. I for one wish you all the best in voting-in responsible government. You're paying way too much.

Have you done any real research of what’s going on? Yes they shut down the keystone project. That is a contributing factor but the largest effect is the actions taken by OPEC not boosting the production amount in order to bring prices back up for crude. Capitalism at its finest. To try to entirely blame an election is remiss. Yes there taxes that have been in place before the elections. This whole precept that it’s a Democrat thing is just foolish. Also just curious did you by chance return your stimulus check if you received one that is a socialist handout btw!

You yanks don't know how good you've got it. 87 octane is $1.16/litre in Edmonton right now (heart of Canada's oil patch) which works out to $4.39/US gal.

I'd trade my socialist healthcare and our mentally defective manboy Prime Minister for some cheap dino juice

Gas prices have nothing to do with Biden right now... did we all forget when they were nearly $3/gallon under Dump?

Sure we know how good we've got it. That's why we're trying to preserve that, and maybe even make it better.

For fun, look up the top ten cheapest gasoline rates in the world.

Right....until you have to start paying ripoff prices for healthcare. Most people don’t bother to think through the fact that you’re gonna pay one way or the other.
High healthcare cost and cheap gas(USA capitalism) vs. socialized healthcare and pricey gas.
Finland. Happiest people on the planet with high taxes/socialized healthcare.

Hard to believe people want to pass opinion for fact regardless of political affiliation. Thanks you for the link! I don’t think any of us like the price of gas increases occurring, regardless of what is driven. We have been fortunate enough to have had and still have subsidized pricing on fuel in the US.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that you're ignoring the 'no politics' rules because I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and not just assume you're forgetful.
 
It's like $2.85 for regular here now. But remember when it was over $4 not so long ago?

Going to get my motorcycle out of storage tomorrow. Still snow here but I'll be riding as much as possible starting in a few weeks. 50 mpg sure beats 17 when you commute all on hilly back roads 50-60 miles a day.
 
Some people are too stupid to understand the long standing rule of supply and demand, would rather make up bs about so and so did this that or the other thing.

The more people drive the higher gas prices are. The less they drive the cheaper it is. It really is that fkn simple.

$3.01 for mid-grade here two days ago.
 
It doesn’t help either when the Democrats push for “clean” energy. Push for more electric vehicles from an electric grid that can’t even support it. All from an agenda that they try and push down our throats and try and convince us that the world is warming. That’s almost as bad as telling us to wear a mask because they work. Haha. Remember we only have to wear a mask for 2 weeks that will flatten the curve.
