Found a trade in at a dealership, as the guy was swaping his stuff to new tundra, I knew I wanted it right then and there.
After around 8-1/2 hrs of negotiations. .. really. I walked away paying 13 and some change. I signed before they finished the safety inspection, so I was not hit with the 2K for both front hubs and seals, dealer ate it.
It's a 2008 4Runner 4wd Limited V8 4.7L. Loaded, nav system, jbl sound, bluetooth, moon roof, bug guard, 115v inverter,18" wheels, spoiler, optional shocks, tow package, running boards. Every option but the entertainment system option.
The sales guy when I picked it up said the dealership took a loss on the sale. They bought it for 13.1
Nada was about 18k~ orig msrp ~48K
Only issue was some light hail dings on hood and roof, hood got most of it.
146K miles, had oil change, rotors, brakes, trans flush, rad flush in January, carfax shows oil change every 5-6k miles and regular scheduled maint.
First owner was lease to 58k 3yr, second owner was doing highway miles commuting to work away from salt water.
Only bad I can tell is, no evidence the timing belt or water pump were ever serviced. I can assume the diff was checked/changed at a scheduled maintenance, but I will change anyway.
I bought the 24k 2yr warranty for the major mechanical stuff, covers timing and pump, ac.
I hear belts going a long time, but I have always changed around 90k.
Interior is immaculate, but small tear on driver vinyl side panel of seat. I will repair, then seat covers, and some WT mats.
Would any of you have jumped at this also???????
