So coming out of town tonight I wanted to do a quick little run up to about 85 or so. Being 16 and all this is just what we do. So I look down and the speedo is around 80 or so and the 4Lo light comes on. I quickly got on the brakes, and slowed to about 55. Still the 4Lo light is on. So I trun my selector to 4H, the lights blink and it goes into 4H. The 4Lo light is still on. I take it out and all the lights shut off. All I did was floor it from about 35 all the way to 80 or so. I couldn't figure out why it would come on.

This happen to anyone else?

I hope you were in 2 Hi when floored from 30 to 80.
If you were in 4lo and tried to reach 80 I don't think you can.

Your message is unclear. You did not say what position was your selector to start.

No matter what... Koz is right.. you better visit the moneysucker.

Selector was in 2High untill i swiched it into 4high at about 55mph.

IT was not in 4Lo at any time. I do aggree that it will not go 80 in 4lo, but I just wonder why the light came on.

All is normal now, and if it happens again I will have to go to the dealer. But what is the dealer going to do? plug it into the computer and see if any codes are coming out? But there should be no codes, the check engine light isn't on.
