4rh gen aftermarket gear on a 5th gen

Have some aftermarket 4th gen suspension components I’m gearing up to put on. Getting cleaned up. A passerby mentioned i should not expect to get the advertised ;th gen height on a 5th gen ... maybe an inch less.

Hadn’t read that in any research. Any merit or experience here?

I had a 2005 for 13 years with a Radflo suspension system I installed. It was easy enough to bolt it into the 2018 I now have so compatibility is not an issue. The front coilovers are adjustable so that may make a difference.

If you were going to measure lift difference you might want to use a spot such as the front skid or somewhere on the frame. I'd also look at the angle of the front lower A-Arm for comparison. Due to body styling differences any measurements to the fender well lip might not be the same.

Lots more pictures at my blog. To my eye I don't see any difference. Note that in some of the pictures the terrain may impact the stance a bit so I grabbed a variety of shots. The trailer compresses the rear springs a bit too.

Cool thx. The springs will be new as I need softer than what was run. I was more thinking the perches were mounted higher/lower.

Either way nothing a top plate can’t correct I suspect or the OME bottom trim spacers.
