4Rs with MTM - Meso Customs Puddle Pods vs Upgraded LED Bulbs

I got some smoked sequential turn signals as a gift recently and planned to upgrade my puddle light bulbs while installing them.

On a whim I checked to see if the Meso Pods are in stock, and by god, they are. These seem to be the best option for puddle lights, but I have read a number of reviews stating that the fit and finish isnt great, especially on later models equipped with MTM cameras in the mirrors.

I would rather just swap in some decent performing LED bulbs than spend a whole day modding/faffing with the Mesos to make them look near-factory once installed. The puddle lights are the only non-LED on the vehicle and it makes me kinda nuts... lol

Anyone have any experience they can speak to here? Are the Meso Pods still worth it on a 22 ORP with MTM?

I didn’t think Meso made puddle lamps for MTM equipped Runners but let me tell you the output is amazing.

Not sure about the MTM's, but I can't recommend the Meso/VLED puddle light pods enough, here is a side by side of the Meso vs a Lasfit LED bulb, crazy difference!

Fit and finish on my 17 is great, but I don't have the MTM or cameras

I agree, MESO puddle lights are amazing! They also have an option for a switch and harness so you can turn them ON/OFF or leave as AUTO.

Unless you got them they are already sold out. I was like you and the puddle lights were the last non-LED bulb on my 4R. I swapped them out for $16 VLEDs off amazon. Doubt they are as bright as the MESOs, but they scratched the itch for next to nothing and the output is fine. Since changing them I don't think I've ever once said "man I wish I spent $85 more for brighter puddle lights." But, I do actually notice the light now.

Looks like the Mesos arent compatible with MTM mirrors. Bulbs it is.... bummer
