nice runner. whats your feedback on your double din screen placement wise? ive been holding back on getting one because the placement seems really low/awkward. on my previous cars the screens were much closer to eye level. i have a feeling if i get a audio/video unit it would be useless and annoying to always be looking down.

I'm pretty happy with my pioneer. It doesn't have gps but I didn't really need it since I have my iphone. Surprisingly the screen is fairly easy to look at, and although it can play movies I haven't watched any yet. I plan on only watching videos when I'm camping or for my passengers on long trips.

oh sweet! looking forward to seeing it. After my first retrofit I already want to do another one. LOL I've got another idea i want to tackle.
 
Teaser pics! Think I fell in love with my rig all over again. Very happy with it, my dad and I spent all weekend retrofitting the projectors,installing some led drls underneath the headlights and got the new grill colomatched. Gonna try to add more pics and details later tonight if I find the time, got finals this week. Glad to be done with highschool!

Those projectors look sick!

I cannot say I am a fan of this led strip crap that everyone is doing lately. It was cool when Audi's did it, but I think they look very ricey on just about anything else. Sort of how BMW had their angel eyes/halos, and then every Civic in America had them.

If you like them though, rock on man.
 
All you guys with your projectors, stop tempting me! I can't run up the credit card anymore!

That looks great man! Which shroud and lens type did you go with? Kind of hard to tell from these photos.

Are the LED's wired to the full-time running lights? that might get annoying..

Last question, what are you doing with the old grille?

yeah 4runit i want to see some more pics of those! they look pretty good from the pics Grats on taking the next step in life too! being done with highschool had to be one of the best feelings ever!
 
looks good. ur rig can rock the strips because u know its not ricey to start off with...and ... u said " i think i fell in love with my rig all over again"....how the heck did u fall out of love with it????
 
Looking great! the new colormatch grill is legit and love the retrofits and led strip, more pics!! :bigok:

2X on what A.Wilson013 said regarding the LED strip. It would have been cooler to integrate them somehow into the headlights maybe?? As for the grill and Projector retrofit.....:trophy: Looks great man!

Bottom line, your rig is also one of my favorites....actually forgot to add your's to my Top Fully modded list!

Keep up the great work man!
 
That is one beautiful 4runner kinda makes me wanna sell my Tacoma all over again. Youre lucky you have your dad hooked lol mine has modified cars in the past and is trying to keep me out of it for as long as he can because of the amount of money it can eat up
 
4runit, love your 4runner. especially the rear bumper and new headlights you just added.

I have an 02 limited and I've always wanted to switch my chrome grill and license plate surround (technical name anyone??) to a color matched one. I think your most recent pictures inspired me to do so.

1. where'd you get the replacement grill? 2. how'd you end up painting it?
