4runner 0-60 and Driving

Check out this video I made. I was a just doings some "performance" driving around the country last night. The 0-60 was hurt by my shifting which was not perfect, didn't go all the way to redline, the car had multiple people in it, and we are over 7000 feet above sea level. But it was still a good time! This manual tranny is so much more fun than the autos IMO. Very happy with this ultimate all-purpose truck! 150,000k on the odo. Comments welcome!

You can watch it in 1080 if you would like.

Well, it certainly LOOKS fast :) I'm sure others will be along to criticize later.

I have a '97 SR5 5-speed with 263,000 miles. I was originally indifferent about having the 5-speed, I like a manual for street driving but I kinda wanted the auto for trail running. I took my 4Runner into the mountains last weekend and I am happy to say that I really like the 5-speed. I have never owned an auto transmission vehicle, so selecting my own gear is what I am most comfortable with. I don't have a functioning e-brake right now, but it didn't cause any problems. I like the slight extra power of the manual.

Nice ride!

Where in CO are you?

Ever since I started driving our FJ40 around I really want a manual since it's so much fun to drive  Though I wouldn't like one in my runner since I don't like the idea of all the multitasking required for a manual offroad. I need to get a first gen or a motorcycle to satisfy my manual desires :jump:
