4runner 2001 base a/c Problem

hi 4runner 2001 3.4l model Base I don't know what is going rung my a/c stay always on heaven the switch at off and the A/C fuse 10amp out of the fuse unit under the Hood , yesterday I have emergency call so to save gas I cut the belt for the A/C so now for the gas consummation the problem is fix but I will like to fix why the A/C staying always on,,,, what I check is the pulley on the A/C compressor where the belt go's she's free turn and the front thing who's got the bolt on the shaft at the front of the compressor it turn but with a little resistance but it is not stuck ... like I said it turn .

I would like to know if there's a A/C clutch magnetic relay on my 4runner 2001 base 3.4l or what I should look at

hmm, I'm not sure about this one. If it's just staying on, it would seem that it's something in the fan knob. I wonder if that switch is messing up. Sorry, haven't encountered a problem quite like that before.

Did you have the blower set on defrost? The AC is always on if the blower is set to defrost.

Make sure the back seat controls are turned off!

the compressor of the air conditioning is Still in operation even while the Boutton was at off so, I cut the couroie for saving fuel
I check the compressor pulley and they are not stick but there is a little resistance _on the one _whit the bolt shaft why I can say that the a / c function always on it is because the compressor make the engine force and i heard the idel change revolution aloso the compressor go on .

This is 2002 diagram but 2001 and 2002 are usually the same.

Note: This is only on the automatic digital model. The manual control model works the A/C clutch from the A/C amplifier--shown at A12 behind the center console on same page. No relay.

Thanks for that pdf file it will help me for sure :bluejump: so today I take all the the glove box out and didn't see the A-32 but what I am figure it out now my A/C it's manual not digital so what do you think I should check for the A-12 Amplifier and the A-14 thermistor and what those part do for the A/C how to proced to reach those part I know how to take a part the the middle dash of 4runner 1990 and 1994 but not on a 2001 :sadwave: ? my 4runner is the base model

Hi all , today i take off a part the center dash to see the ac amplifier but there's noting in of just the heater and A/C modul control could that be the cause of my voltage always stay on at the A/C clutch connector



what those two wire black and with do it come out of the radio connection .
