4runner Badge

I was just wondering if anybody knows why Toyota changed the 4runner badge in 2003 from the 4 being part of the R to them being separate?

Yeah I'd love to get my hands on a 4th Gen 4Runner badge to slap onto my 3rd gen. I think they look great!

I agree, then again, they also made the 4th Gens seemingly smaller, w/ 2" less ground clearance and some styling that took me and my wife a few years to learn to like, but not yet love entirely...which is why we just bought an 06 GX instead of an 06 4Runner...

IMHO I like the 3rd gen style more than the 4th, especially since the 4 is attached to the R in the 3rd gens. I also think that the 4th gen style is a little too small and the lettering is too plain. Just my $0.02

You can find them on ebay sometimes.
