4Runner body leaning? - PICS uploaded now

My 2000 is leaning on the driver's side. Suspension looks straight, frame looks straight, so I'm thinking it's a body mount (or 2). Any other ideas or has anyone else experienced this?

Couple of thoughts:
1) Have you checked the body mounts?
2) How bad is it leaning 1-2" etc...?
3) Is it leaning more in the front or back could be a shock or the typical rear springs sagging?


gotta ask the obvious questions :boxer::
1) Is the vehicle on level ground when you noticed this?
2) Have you checked the air pressure in the tires?
3) Have you crawled under it to look for broken welds on suspension parts?

Lastly place as much info in your signature that you can (4wd/2wd list of mods if any) it always helps to diagnose the issue.
 
perhaps the front suspension is installed incorrectly....

if you install Tundra coils in the front you have to put them on a certain side. The coils are marked yellow or blue.

If backwards the truck will be off and look like it is leaning.

I made this mistake so perhaps you or the previous owner did as well.
 
I have this issue. Took it to the stealership, they replaced the front suspension on the driver's side, and it's still leaning. :ybrick:

1" coil spacer lift in front, air suspension lift in the back. 265/75-16 BFG All-Terrains.
 
Leaning too

Mine is around 1/2 inch lower on the driver side, measured at the rear wheelwell. closer to 3/4 inch when I have a full tank. The front is fairly even.

I've seen several runners with the same driver's side lean. I'll probably stick a trim packer on the driver side rear coil to even it out eventually. Its more of a minor annoyance rather than a big issue for me now.
 
Obviously you have never owned a Land Cruiser.

Embrace the lean.... :D

On a serious note. If everything is installed correctly, just throw some trim packers in there to level it out. 1/2" is no big deal.
 
The OP said 2"s...even by landcruiser standards that is a heftly lean. I can accept 1/2 or maybe even 3/4" as possibly with in the normal limits but 2 is a bit much.

Did you just notice one day the truck leaned? or did you do something that you thought may have F'd something up and when you looked at your truck noticed it was leaning?
 
have you made sure your stuff in your vehicle is balanced out? and have you made this observation with and without a full tank of gas?

Really? I've only seen one. Mine. Is this an uncommon issue?
 
Mine is 34 7/8" from ground to fender driverside front and 34 3/4" passenger side front on stock 96 suspension and 275/70R16 michelin LTX m/s

35 1/2" driver rear and 36" passenger rear

I have some leaning too with my 881's up front. Drive side is 1/2" lower than passenger. Does this mean I need a 1/2" spacer or a 1/4" spacer?

The 5mm trim packer will get you pretty level. If not you can try to switch the springs to opposite sides and trim pack as necessary.

No magic. Just play with it for a little while.
 
This why I love this forum. Such a great place for information.

Now, I'm assuming this will effect alignment and tire wear, yes?
