i know this is not that related to a 4runner but i am curious.... i recently put 5100 bilsteins on my runner and have the stock 4runner coils left over, would those coils be stiffer then what is on my 2001 toyota tacoma? if they are stiffer would they lift the truck at all? Would it be a bad idea to switch the two out?

Not sure about the coils on the 01 Tacoma, but the late model Tacoma coils are massive in comparison to the 4runner coils. A few 4runner guys have swapped these and they provide more lift than the fj coils.

youre kidding.... if i knnew that taco coils were better the fj coils i would have definitely done those instead :'(

and dang ok im trying to find a use for the 4runner coils.... no one wants to buy them, think that a scrap yard would give me some good cash for them?

I've not used them, so can't say they're better. I know of two people who have used Tacoma coils, they seem happy with them. I got a set from a friend, never got around to installing them. They resemble the OME 885s in term of height and coil wraps (from what I recall, didn't compare the two side by side).
