4runner discontinued.

I don't know where you are getting your facts from, but crawl under a 5th gen, and you will see it's the same solid axle they have always used. Plus that 4.0 is pretty quick, the power to weight ratio is better than the 3rd gen and anything prior to that

Thanks you said it all.

Anyways, I'd probably buy a Nissan Pathfinder or if a Toyota it would probably be a Highlander.

I say we go over to Gecko123 place and maybe T P his entire front yard, then take plastic wrap and wrap his entire house, that stopped my heart for a second too,
it was a good one tho:flamethrwoer2::flamethrwoer2:

We'll just take his 4Runner away from him.

Not sure i would really care, they no longer make it in stick anyway. If i want a new automatic SUV, i will get a Range Rover Sport.

What would I do? NOTHING! I'm happy with my 3rd gen and can see someday, just maybe getting a 4th gen. But by then I will be too old to drive or dead so it won't matter.

My other vehicle affair is my 86 Vanagon, which they did discontinue - and all that did was make me love my ride all the more. :pimp:

I would continue driving my 4th gen. I love what I have. Any new vehicle I get WILL NOT replace my 05 4Runner, only add. I couldn't buy another SUV after driving my runner.

Well I'm sure as hell not selling my 3rd gen... I agree with the others who don't like the newer generations... :D

Well, I like them... but not their transmissions. Unless Tacoma 6 speed is swappable? 1GR-FE in both... hmmm... to google!

To be honest, I want at least one of each generation 4Runner someday...

Following one of the first replies... at least for the next 10 years there will always be a ton of used 4runners for sale.

Especially if gas prices continue to climb - people will continue trading their SUVs for smaller cars.

My freind had a Sammi and used to off road with us in the desert. Did fine off road but could not keep up with traffic on the highway. Every hill in the road it would slow down way below the speed limit and traffic would back up behind him. Very dangerous. Also it rode very rough.

yeah I've driven one. rough little things and FAR from safe in a wreck but did i ever say what i'd use it for? i know there no daily drivers but fun off road. firsst time i rode in one it was my dads nothin really done to it but bigger tires and different leafs but my god it would go over anything!! also if none of you know what the mazdaspeed protege is well its a protege with a turbo and suspension upgrades. bottom end of the motor is trash boosted and the limited slip with break if it hasn't been welded...but the car takes turns like no other

why is is that so many 4th gen owners are so damn bitter about the 5th gen???

seriously, we know you don't like it. Stop whining. Hell, i wouldn't buy a 4th Gen for a variety of reasons, mostly because i don't like the look, but i'm not complaining about them every chance I post.

OK, rant over.
