Oh, and the Pathfinder looks HORRIBLE from the rear.

Thai said:Really??!!It may look better, but the materials are certainly not. Nissan interiors use cheap materials. Toyota & Honda are clearly ahead of Nissan in the materials that they use.

Thai said:Joel, i must admit that the H3 Alpha will be one hell of a off-road ride. Two major problems with the current H3: weak engine and weak front aluminum diff. With the Alpha, Hummer has cured both problems.
I think that, although Alpha is a good thing, it is coming at a bad time when fuel prices are once again going up. If prices continue to go up, then Hummer brand will once again get a bad reputation, like they do now with the H2.
If i were in the market, then the H3 Alpha vs. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is what i would look at. The FJ Cruiser & Xterra (both in stock form) is clearly the underdog when it comes to off-roading rigs. You need to modify both of them significantly to match the stock capability of H3 Alpha and Rubicon. (Unfortunately, Toyota did not address this when they came out with the TRD FJ Cruiser.)

I'd never buy a GM product for off roading.

I feel the pinch at the pump as much as the next guy, but I think gas prices will always fluctuate, and won't always be scary high. But that's just me. It's a trade-off I am willing to make every day of the week for the vehicle that best suits me. Not to make light of the hardship high fuel prices make for folks, but you pays your money and you takes your chances. There are lots of high-mpg vehicles out there to choose from if it becomes too much of an issue.
