Ok here's the story. My new to me 4runner had the cut gas pedal but I wanted to put on my OBX pedal covers. I purchased a GX470 one because I thought they were the same. They had different part numbers but I figured toyota vs lexus numbers so I bought it.
I put it in yesterday and right off the bat it was about 2" higher so the driving position was a little less comfortable. Here is the kicker, no 4runner drive by wire lag, the kick down required much less travel to engage, response was instant, much much more fun to drive. It was like having a sprint booster installed but much more controlled.
If it was not for the higher position I would have kept it in there. What a difference. The lexus pedal must have different programming than the toyota one.
