A few years ago I was on a fairly steep incline, though nothing off-road, and the tires started to spin on gravel. I hit the brake, then tried to accelerate. My T4R stalled out so I kept my foot on the break, put it in park, and took my foot off the brake to start it again. While it was in park it started to roll back. I had to forcefully hit the brake to come to a stop.
I thought it was strange but maybe a once in a lifetime thing.
A few days ago I was driving up my driveway, which also has a moderate incline. It was icy and I began to spin the rear tires. The traction control kicked in but I was still able to progress to the top of the driveway. The tires spun again, still while on an incline, but I was close enough to my house door that I just put it in park. I shut the vehicle off and opened the door. As soon as my foot came off the brake pedal it started to roll backwards rapidly. I had to jump back in and slam the brake pedal to stop. I double checked, somewhat in shock, and the vehicle was off (keys not even in it) and it was in park.
What gives?
