4Runner Police cars in Hawaii!!!!

So...I was there last week for vacation, and saw A FREAKIN TON of new Chargers, all years of 4Runners, a new G35----all police cars! Just click on this Link (Yahoo Photos) to see them. That is really neat. A town in New Jersey has a 4th gen white sport as an unmarked car.

Makes it a lot harder to speed -- especially with their new low-profile light bars.

The explanation in the window (picture DSCF0162) is great; I guess the officers must receive a lot of questions about it.

Prior to the rise in SUV popularity, many of the officers drove Monte Carlo SSs, Regal Grand Nationals, and Grand Prixs. The next wave was Mustangs and Camaros. Now, I'd say the 4Runner is one of the more popular models, along with the Ford Explorer.

I've also seen Toyota Avalons, Nissan Altimas (I saw a 2007 model the other day), and the G35 sedan you saw. If you see a cellular-like antenna in the rear window (for sedans) or on the driver's side rear-most window (for SUVs), it's probably an officer's vehicle.

My office is right outside a courthouse, so I often see officers' vehicles parked outside when they are in court. It's not uncommon for at least half the vehicles parked to be 4Runners (3rd and 4th generations).

Yeah, i live here in hawaii and i see 4runner police cars everyday. there are so many here it's crazy. there are also a lot of ridiculously high, lifted trucks here like 10 inch+ lifts. it's pretty awesome.

by the way, it looks like you went to Cholo's resturant on the north shore. i happen to know the owner of it.

I love Cholo's .... I used to live in Aiea, Aloha! My favorite is Kua 'Aina though. :bigok:

yeah 4runners are almost the norm like regular blue and whites. altimas are also popular.

however, SUV's for some of our officers have proven to be dangerous with them rolling.
