O2 sensor can also pop that code, because ultimately that sensor is what actually reads the rich or lean composition of the exhaust.
Anyone trying to diagnose these kinds of problems really needs a OBDII reader that does live data. ELM327 + Torque is the cheapest and one of the best options.
Watch the MAF numbers. Are they appropriate at idle, and then increase appropriately with throttle?
Does the #1 O2 sensor switch voltages appropriately? Is the average of the graph's highs and lows biased rich or lean?
