4runner running rich

coolant smells like maple syrup. kinda a heavy sweet smell. also of my friends saabs are notorious for leaking coolant even the ones made to today.

Will clean Maf tomorrow.

I read this article which says that 02 sensor needs to beplaced every 70k and that check engine light might not come on if bad.

Is this all I need? http://www.theautopartsshop.com/Sea...Pat=Year+Auto+Car-USA+Parts+Brand+PartDetails

Not entirely sure, it is a Nippon Denso, but it also says universal.

The front "oxygen sensor" is known as an Air/fuel ratio sensor and is a different part number AFAIK, and typically is the one that goes bad from what I have been reading.... I've also heard of a couple stories of people getting aftermarket ones (Bosch mostly) that just didn't work properly.

Find out the part number here by entering your VIN http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html

Toyota OEM parts are almost the only way to go when it comes to ECU input sensors.
