4Runner Sub-woofer

Is it possible to take a sub-woofer from a 2003-2004 Limited Model with a JBL setup and connect it to my 2004 Sport Edition with the basic single cd head unit that came factory??

Hmmm, you can try to pry open the panel back there and see if it is already prewired for the sub. More than likely it's already prewired...

Let us know what you find. I'm actually very impressed with the stock stereo. "American Car Bass" has finally made its way into a Japanese car!

I haven't had that side off yet, but I'd bet the wiring is there. I don't think the 6 speaker hu has a sub output though so the connector wouldn't be of much use.
