4Runner Trailer made from a 4Runner?

So I went to a local euro car meet just to hang out with some friends... walking around I saw some people who made trailers for their cars or trucks, from the same thing. I thought it was kinda cool haha.

Not that I am really in the position to do a project like this at the moment, I couldn't help but wonder what it would take to accomplish it.

Here are some examples of what I saw...

Its just so ridiculous that I can't help but like it. I would love to have a matching 4Runner trailer with a functional rear lift gate and window.

I would even be ok with a Toyota Tacoma bed as a trailer... Its like I have an SUV and truck...

I'd think the rear axle is too far back on a 4runner whereas a truck bed is pretty well centered. I wouldn't think a 4runner body would balance too easily. If you were though, I'd just cut the cab behind front seats and keep the rear area+cargo for space. It's easily 6 feet of space with the rear seats down. I'm 6'1" and can sleep in the back comfortably.
